In a seminal sketch on the US comedy show _Saturday Night Live_,
a couple has a debate on whether _New Shimmer_ is a floor wax
or a dessert topping. Chevy Chase - obviously a sales mansalesman for the
product - enters the room and explains: _New Shimmer_ is both.
You can put it on your pudding or wipe the floor with it (and
they do). The sketch ends with the slogan "The greatest shine
you ever tasted".
